Dear God it's hot.

There are times when living in a small rural county is difficult and annoying. This was not one of those times. Often when I am at my grumpiest God gives me a good swift kick in the pants and hits me with one of these glorious light shows. I immediately feel tiny - ashamed for complaining. Make sure you look around - wherever you are. It’s too good to miss.

Four a.m. dock call. Coffee that tastes like a parking lot. Everybody knows their job and nobody says much. Best two hours of the week.

A trade show booth lives for three days. Then it is a pile of crates on a dock in Vegas. Twenty-five years in, I still cannot get over how much care goes into something so short-lived.

Trade shows are the only design discipline I know where the finished work has a shelf life measured in days.
