I'm D. Jamison Cantrell. I'm a designer, builder, and storyteller. I make things that are temporary, and a few that stick.

I'm D. Jamison Cantrell, a designer and builder in Thomasville, Georgia. After twenty-five years in trade shows and experiential design, I'm still a student of the craft — drawing from theater, architecture, motion, print, and the hundreds of foremen and fabricators who taught me how things actually get built.

Born in Marietta, Georgia in 1975. I studied theatrical design before discovering that trade shows were essentially the same problem on a tighter timeline. Spent my 20s and 30s designing and building experiential environments for retailers, brands, and the agencies and exhibit houses that serve them. Along the way, learned more about logistics, fabrication, drayage, and the politics of show floors than I ever expected to.

Today I run SQUAREONE, our experiential design and production agency, and XpoMonkey, a VIP subscription design service for people who need real work without the agency overhead. Through D. Jamison Creative, I take on select creative consulting and advisory engagements. I co-founded Morgan Hill Media, a media studio producing original shows and content for brands, with my wife Elizabeth Cantrell.
