ABOUT ME

D. Jamison Cantrell

I was born and raised in Acworth, Georgia and, believe it or not, started my career in theater as an actor. I spent two summers, one in Winfield, Kansas and another in Lincoln, New Hampshire, taking roles in productions such as Secret Garden, To Kill A Mockingbird, Damn Yankees, and Man of La Mancha. Pretty soon, however, I realized that the life of a starving artist wasn’t for me and eventually moved into theatrical design and production, which ultimately led me to branding and design. My parents were so relieved.

I worked in many areas of event production and design and found myself spending more and more of my time on marketing and branding projects. Many clients hired me to design their company exhibits and, once the job was completed, would then ask if I could also design their websites, business cards, or new logos. I kept saying yes and in 2003, I started my studio from a tiny apartment in Washington, D.C. as a multi-disciplined brand design firm.
